Albany Devils, your fail is now complete.
The Albany devils, dead last in the standings for the season. Out of 30 teams… they are 30, posting a record of 32 – 42 – 1 – 5. But wait, that’s not all they are dead last in; they also placed dead last in attendance. 124,563 total for an average of 3,114 per game. I find that number shockingly high.
This was the crowd from opening night.
I went to the TUC to watch the phantoms beat the devils.

Hey, I was only there to watch the Wolf*Pack play.
Oh they also lost to the Time Warner cup to the Adirondack Phantoms.
I only bring this up because for most of the season I read the non-stop posts of Albany Devil fans on the Time Union Blog how at least the Devils where not in dead last like the Phantoms.

Zach is a local kid from Albany N.Y. who is a big fan of the Albany River Rats, when they moved to Charlotte the fanship didn’t end and he loves the rats under their new name, the Charlotte Checkers. The rats / checkers org have done some very nice things for Zach in return of him being their number one fan. Zach suffers from neurofibromatosis, a genetically inherited degenerative disorder where soft-tissue tumors grow on his nerves. He has had 21 surgeries, including the amputation of both of his legs.
Of all the meaningless crap people “like” on facebook this one is worth it.

Hartford Whale Bowl 2011
I went to the Boston / Whaler Alumni game on 2/19/11. It was my birthday gift. COLD. 20 degrees plus 50 MPH winds = frozen hellscape.
The Whale score, the brass bonanza gets played at the Whale Bowl outdoor game at UConns Rentschler Field.
I normally try to take a video of how the crowd looks at AHL games, but it was TOO DARN COLD and windy to get a decent video of the crowd at uconns’ rentschler field for the CT Whale outdoor game. I understand a lot of people left after the first due to extreme cold.
Those two girls must have been freezing their butts off. srly, it was 20 degrees with 50 MPH winds and they are walking around in hot shorts?? LOL. I tried to take this video with out appearing to be a total creep.
