The American Hockey League realigned their divisions and put the CT whale into the same division as the two AHL teams in the capital district and the people rejoiced thinking that we would see a lot more of the rangers farm team play in our area. I personally thought it was a great idea. The farm teams of the Rangers, Devils, Flyers, Islanders and…. okay…. the blue jackets…would face off more in the minors building upon the rivalry they would see in the majors.
For those of us unable to let go of strong familial (albeit hyper-maniacal) connections with the New York Rangers, it is a very good day.
The division realignment places the Rangers’ AHL farm team – the Hartford Wolf- …err…the Connecticut Whale in the same division as The Phantoms.
But not so fast, I am very displeased (putting it extremely mildly) that despite the division realignments, the CT Whale / baby rangers, will only visit the GFCC and Albany TWICE this season. Why even put them into the same division?
Oh but thank goodness we get to see the phantoms play Norfolk FIVE TIMES!!!!! NORFOLK!? Talk about giving the local fans what they want. What the heck was the AHL thinking when they came up with this scheduled? Money is tight and I can guarantee you those 5 games vs. Norfolk are 5 games I won’t be going to.
I saw this today; in one hand a cig and an apple in the other…. I wondered if the nutritional benefits of a healthy snack were counter balanced by a cigarette. I found this as ironic as a co-worker commenting that eating tuna is bad for me since its “heavily processed”… it’s not… and that my jerky is very high in sodium… and that she would never eat jerky since she is very health conscientious of what she puts in her body. She’s a two pack a day smoker.
